Over forty years later, the Walden online school has graduated more than 49,500 alumni, and is a widely respected, accredited online school still committed to providing accessible schooling to professionals and those looking to enhance their careers.

This particular brand of online education relies on distance learning that allows students to interact with classmates and professors around the world to get what they call a “diverse learning experience.” The school boasts an encyclopedic range of online courses that lead to Bachelor’s, Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in more than 300 concentrations, which include business, education, health, law and criminal justice, liberal arts and humanities, social sciences, technology and IT and more. According to U.S. News and World Report, the most popular majors at the school include Business Administration and Management, General; Psychology, General; Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General; Management Information Systems, General; and Finance, General.

Walden takes pride in its students and strives to provide online degree programs that encourage applying knowledge for social good, even going so far as to create a Social Change Conference addressing new ways of thinking. The school also stresses community involvement with the Walden Service Network, an online community connecting volunteers with volunteer opportunities. But they take care of their students first, providing social change scholarships and fellowships to help them get through school and apply what they’ve learned. Students also benefit from career services, student assistance program, undergraduate tutoring, the Walden library, and school writing and research centers.
